What is a gusset bag?
Gusseted bags expand as you fill them, allowing more space and flexibility with your packaging design. You will typically see gusseted bags will with whole bean or ground coffee but they also work well with tea, snacks, candy, pet treats and more. Once filled, gusseted bags stand upright with no additional support.
What is a degassing valve?
Gasses ( including carbon dioxide ) are emitted after roasting and continue to emit over time. If the gases are trapped inside the package, this can cause the bag or pouch to inflate or bloat. When pressure inside the sealed bag increases beyond valve opening pressure, a membrane in the valve momentarily opens to allow gas to escape from the bag. As gas gets released, the valve membrane reseals. This one way air valve is added to fresh roast and ground coffee bags to allow for carbon dioxide to escape and prevent oxygen from entering which in turn increases the lifespan of your coffee.
What size bag do I need for my product?
The capacity of bag sizes that are provided are approximations only. These sizzes are based on tests using whole coffee beans. A bags capacity will vary depending on product used. We strongly suggest ordering a sample pack to test fill and determing your size needs.
