Child Resistant Closure
For items that require the packaging to be child resistant for multiple uses, we always recommed the tear notch with child resistant zipper. Our bags and zippers are produced at a very high quality and can withstand multiple openings.
Standard Closure
Depending on your local laws regarding cannabis packaging, single use is considered child resistant until packaging is opened. By removing the tear notch and heat sealing the bag, the packaging is single use child resistant. To reduce cost, removing the zipper on single use bags can go a long way.

Bottom Fill
Bottom-fill mylar bags are an excellent choice for businesses seeking a secure and professional packaging method. Can you provide certifications on child resistance?
Yes! We are happy to provide certifications for our child resistant zipper options.
Are windows on the bags, foggy or clear?
If the bags are done by rotogravure, we can apply either glossy or matte windows to an bag with either finish. For digital print, the window depends on the bag finnish. With digital print for example, if your bag is matte, the window would be foggy and vice versa.
How long, after artwork approval, will it take to receive my bags?
Depending on the manufacturer and time of year, we can have bags delivered between 3 and 8 weeks from the time of approved artwork.
What size bags are available?
You can select from any of the bag sizes listed above, or we can completely customize the size and shape of a bag, depending on your needs.
Will the bags be opened or closed when I receive them?
That is completely up to you! Let us know your preference and we can have them delivered exactly how you want them.
Will there be a percentage of over/under production that I am liable for?
With digital print, the amount produced is typically right on. For rotogravure, there typically is an over or under in production. Standard is about 10-25% over or under, depending on the amount ordered. You will only be charged for what is produced if the amount is under.
If I provide my own artwork, what is the preferred format / file type?
We ask that we have all artwork in Adobe Illustrator ( .AI ) or .PDF ( vectorized & editable ) files. If there are fonts in the artwork, please make sure they are all outlined and if you have images, please embed all images.
At what quantity will I begin seeing the best prices?
You will notice a significant drop in price from quantities of 10,000 or more.
Are there any tooling costs associated with custom mylar bags?
For rotogravure bags, there are plate charges depending on the amount of colors ( this is a one time cost ). For custom shaped or die cut bags, there will be a one time tooling cost in order to cut the bag into the correct shape. For digital print, there are no tooling costs, as long as you choose from a standard sized bag. If you need a custom sized bag, there will be a one time tooling cost.
