I was looking for a small bag to carry medicine, extra glass and odds and ends.

I really enjoy this bag for packing my toiletries on trips. I find that it is a great size that doesn't take up too much space in the bag and leave you wondering why you bought such a large item just for bathroom items, but it always holds more than I expect it too--for instance, it will actually accommodate large-size hair mousse foamer bottles (such as an 8-ounce bottle or can), deodorants, etc.

My only problem comes if I start taking advantage of it and pack anything that I could imagine wanting, and eventually, it will not zip close if I have stuffed the main compartment too full. However, it is more than enough room for the basics. On a short overnight trip where all I need is my toothbrush and deodorant and have makeup in my purse, this would not even be needed, and I could take a smaller makeup pouch-style toiletries kit.

The TSA carry-on rules can compliment matters, because liquids must be packed in a clear bag, so that my toiletry bag is not needed as much. I also find that I tend to be a big packer, and would enjoy a larger item that might even fit a hair dryer or iron, etc, plus a couple small vitamin bottles. This won't fit all that, and I have to take a separate case for first aid or daily vitamins, but that's fine. But overall, this is a great basic item to reach for in the case of most medium-size trips. It really works great! I like the practical men's styling, rather than a more complicated cosmetics bag with a lot of bells and whistles or little compartments that don't really work as well as you would expect. However, it seems unisex, because I was able to buy it in a great, trendy design. I also have my eye on the Dakine Diva, but this item is more practical, small, and priced better. :) (Posted on 8/31/11)
