Dakine Apex Biking Backpack

This is an outstanding pack. I also own the Nomad which is the same pack layout just a bit smaller. The Apex takes everything good about the Nomad and then adds just enough size to make a truly versatile pack. Pocket layout is very good and there are enough of them but not too many. The size is perfect. Small enough to be worn on the back while riding a motorcycle (I purchased the pack specifically for this) but large enough to carry the bad weather gear, a few extra layers, and a full size digital SLR camera. To top it off the quality of the manufacturing seems to be very good. I own 6 different packs and not all are the same manufacturer. Of all the packs I own the Apex is my favorite followed by the Nomad and that being due to the size of the pack. The Apex is just a bit more versatile. Pack design and pocket layout are also key features in both packs.
