Kids Camelbak with Backpack - Review by Karen
Price Quality We bought these for our 6 year old and 4 year old boys. They absolutely loved them, as they have been extremely interested in mine. The best feature is that it has the storage of a small kids backpack, along with the hydration feature. Ideally suited for hiking trips, but likely not biking. We've only been out a couple of times with them, so cannot speak to durability. We only had some snacks and non-havy items in the pack. (Posted on 1/26/12)

Everything was good, except quality control - Review by Louis
Price Quality I purchased the Scout Kids Hydration Pack for my 10-year-old son to use on during a Webelos Scout resident camp. It was the perfect size for a kid's day pack, and the onboard 1.5L hydration bladder was just right for him--not too large and heavy, but enough water to keep him hydrated between water fill stations. All was well until the 4th day of a 5-day camp. At that time, the bottom anchor point for the left shoulder strap simply detached from the pack. It looked like the stitching just unraveled, leaving no visible damage to the pack but rendering the pack all but useless during the remaining outdoor activities (e.g., a 7-mile hike, slingshot, camp cooking, field sports, etc.). My son tried his best to carry the pack over one shoulder, but I don't think I will purchase another Camelbak kids product--the quality control just isn't there. I've owned a Camelbak Ridgerunner pack for 3 years and have had no issues at all. I think I'll get my son an adult pack, since he'll grow into it before it ever lets him down. (Posted on 8/25/11)
